Its time to move!

Now.... Lots of things happened in the past few weeks until I hardly know what am I doing even!

So here's kinda a summary....

  1. I got a job offer in Launceston (which I had to turn it down)
  2. I decided to move on to Brisbane
  3. I have had a Garage Sales that's more on getting rid of things we have in the house rather than to earn money from friends
  4. The Boy is having some difficulty finding buyers for the car
  5. I've just stuffed one my suitcase with clothes weighed up to be 20KG!!!!!! (And that's probably just 1/3 of it)
  6. I need to leave this place I'm staying by 15th this month, and inspection will be around 13/14 this month
  7. Apparently the new house I'm staying in Brisbane is 5 minutes away from The Boy, and the owner has a pet cat! =)
  8. Until now, I've only packed 2/3 of my clothes.... And that doesn't includes the clothes in the laundry bag....
  9. Bought The Boy a pair of Sennheiser headphones (as his b'day pressie) which I might steal from him after a few years.... =P
  10. Just noticed today is our 17th month anniversary =)
  11. Having some difficulty finishing foods in the house especially the herbs and the curries
  12. Been craving over some packet soup lately
  13. Stressing about not getting a job again... =(
  14. Been sleeping WAY too much lately... And having difficulty waking up just now! (Eyes opened but body not responsive to my mind commanding my limbs to move... Sounds scary? Not quite when u're in that situation especially when you keep dosing off)
  15. Have yet to buy my airflight ticket... >.<
  16. Will need to bunk in with a close friend while waiting to fly off to Brisbane
  17. Feeling a lil bit sad on the thought that I will be leaving my friends when I head to Brisbane =(
Anyway, back to packing.... =( I've got no idea how to keep everything I have.... @.@

Wish me luck!

Adiosss~

Back from Tassie

Gosh... 1 week just flew past with just a blink of an eye! And I'm back in Newie now, still jobless but this time  have had 2 job interviews... Looks like there's a progress going on here... I'll need to continue with job hunting nonetheless. I dont expect myself to be able to land myself in the very first job interview...

"How's Tassie?" Everyone has been asking me that... So here's what I personally think about it:

  1. Its cold... Especially late at night and in the early mornings
  2. Cradle mountain trip was pretty good.... Had a personal tour for it, and get to visit the all famous Ashgrove Cheese Factory.... *highly recommended for cheese lovers*
  3. Interview in Launnie went.... just OK... Not spectacular, but I tried my best *fingers crossed*
  4. Cataract Gorge was awesome.... Especially the basin chair lift thingy!
  5. Launnie city was... not too bad... small + cosy + not much asians + relaxed little town + relatively friendly people....
  6. Launceston General Hospital + Royal Hobart Hospital was huge......
  7. Hobart city was nice.... At least I think I preferred Hobart compared to Launnie
  8. Mt Wellington was superbly cold! Definitely wasn't prepared for that
  9. Port Arthur was amazingly beautiful... Would recommend everyone who's going to Hobart to visit that place... *especially loves the gift shop*
  10. Cadburry choc factory was pretty good... paid $7.50 admission fee and got a tour on how choc was made, got a big block of milk chocolate and a hand full of choc (those fun sized ones)
  11. Met up with a friend of mine and really enjoyed my time catching up with her
  12. The places we stayed were pretty good considering the price we paid... =)
I think that's all I've got to say... Next post I'll try to upload some pictures on Miss Tanya Lee's 21st b'day party with the theme "slumber party". I got myself an elmo PJs and wore my Husky Jr. bedroom slippers there! Poor b'day girl was so drunk... But I bet she had a time of her life~

Till then world, time to get some beauty sleep and fix my sleeping schedule....

APD or no APD?

In case you're wondering what is an APD, it stands for "Accredited Practising dietitian".

I am now in a dilemma on  whether or not I should take up APD.... It seems quite interesting to finally get back to researching, attending conferences, or even helping out the mentor to come out with some sort of project or something..

Will I ever take up the APD status? Definitely a yes, but its just a matter on when will I take it up... Maybe I will start applying for it after my Tassie trip....

I cant wait to have something to do instead of just applying for jobs day after day after day!!!! =)

Meanwhile.... Another 7 more days to go before I fly off to Tasmania!!!

And this time, its not JUST for some random holiday trip... its for a job interview in Launceston General Hospital! Gosh I'm nervous.... I will definitely study up and prepare myself for it.... I've even registered myself for a mock interview in the uni!!!

@.@

I really just cant wait for the day where someone says to me....
Yea... and when I do start working, I hope I do not walk up to my friends and tell them "Gosh, I wished I have a longer holiday". If I do say that, feel free to smack me in my head and remind me about the times I was so desperate to get a job.

*My next post will not be anytime soon as I am busy planning for the Tasmania trip, and preparing for the interview*

So.... ADIOS peepz....

........

And wish me best of luck....

Falling in love all over again

OMG... I just saw this watch that I absolutely LOVE!!!

Its a Swatch watch!!! I never quite fancy swatch watches back then cause it was a bit too colourful for me, and I personally love watches with metal strap... This... is simply elegant and feminine....

DEFINITELY one of my wish list when I get a job...

Now, to pray hard that the watch still exists at that point of time....

Or.. maybe not... yes, it is very feminine, but it doesn't have a second hand, and I'll never know when the watch ran out of batteries... like seriously... NEVER ever notice it...

I know cause my current watch has no second hand to it, and I didnt notice it ran out of batteries until like... easily a month later... @.@

Great job right? =P

Seriously... I need to get serious and STOP looking for stuff to buy... instead of spending money, I really should do something to earn some income.... =(

When will I get a job still remains a mystery...

Signing off world!

I am a girly-girl!!!

Ok, I have got no idea what's wrong with me, but right now, as in from last night's post till today, I think I've gone a little bit frenzy over rose... ANYTHING related to rose....

It all started with the "HOLLY WATER" that my all mighty great friend introduced....

Which so happened to be the Shu Uemura - Deepsea Water Rose Mist

Seriously... I dont know if I should love her or hate her for it.... She has taught me how to be more feminine... and yes, that means she has taught me the art of the all mighty.... SHOPPING...

Ok, so that aside.... I am now craving for rose coloured stuff, rose scented soaps, lotions, perfume.... EVERYTHING!!

Should I be happy? I dont think so.... I have YET to buy anything yet... especially the BVLGARI Rose Essentielle Coffret

and this baby here cost A$57.00!! Originally it was A$114.00!!!!!!!

I am so tempted to go buy it, but.... its soooooo expensive!!!

=( But... 50% off!

I'm definitely in a dilemma, and I know I shouldn't be buying it...

Really.... I think I'll do anything... ANYTHING to get a bouquet of roses now.... =(

Ok, I will focus on getting a job first... full time or part time, just an income!!

Till then,

ADIOS!!

Gloomy days

Sigh.... Life's getting more and more depressing...

Everyday, I will do the same routine... Wake up - eat - check mail (normally empty) - find for jobs - apply for jobs (if any) - spend the rest of the day wondering what else is there to do....

I try to do something 'meaningful' everyday, but I dont think I'm doing anything great or meaningful personally...

I need a life... Like, a REAL life...

I seriously need a job...

Getting a job in a foreign country sure is hard... And depressing.... =(

I feel that I should do something productive... I've searched TAFE to see if there's any short courses I could take up, but cant find any.... I've applied for jobs and I've been rejected all the time.... I've applied for part time jobs, but I still cant find any... =(

Seriously... My days are passing ever so slowly until I even know what time the postman arrives!

And the worst part is I cant go for some random shopping spree now that my income is ZERO....

Next up, my family are coming for my graduation, and the university just HAD to make our lives more miseable by limiting the number of guest tickets. GReaT... My family travelled all the way here but yet not all of them could attend my ceremony... What else could go worse?

Signing off...

Beauty and things

Okay, so I know I hardly (or rather, never) make any posts on beauty, so I decided I'll post something about it today!

So I have been wearing make up pretty late in life... I think actually started when I was 18? So through the years, I've gradually learnt how to use make up as a tool to 'beautify' myself. Of course, I must say it sure isn't easy learning how to use them correctly! My mom and my back then roomie, Jenn was kinda my make up guru where Jenn has obviously taught me all the basics and essentials that I need. =)

Among all the make up there is, I must say that the mascara is probably the most important one for me. That's cause I personally feel with the right mascara, it really opens up your eyes to give the illusion as though  have huge eyes! And when I say huge, I really meant that it can do wonders.... For me, its a definite essential for those who have small eyes, and its also an essential for those who... well... are feeling sleepy but wanna fake their looks... =)

Obviously there're a lot more other make up that can help open up your eyes such as eyeliner and eye-shadow, but I find putting eye-shadow a hassle especially first thing in the morning when u're still... erm... sleepy...

But whatever it is, I find applying mascara without eye-liner & eye-shadow gives me a very natural look that I simply adore! =) So anyway, I've been using a few mascaras over the past few years, and here's my opinion about some products...

Volume express turbo boost (waterproof) by maybelline. I must say this's my first mascara and I've used it for the a few years (i think i bought 2-3 of this mascara!) before I decided that I wanna try something new...

Pros:

  • Gives u the big volumised look that's perfect for night time glamour look
  • I generally loved it as I found that it made my eyes looked super huge even after my first application

Cons:

  • Sometimes I feel that it can be a bit heavy for my eye lashes (or maybe its me who cant curl my lashes well)
  • I personally dont like the shape of the tube... its fat and bulky so... =)

Unstoppable curly extension (dont think its waterproof) also by maybelline. After my first experience with maybelline, i decided to stick by it and chose something different... something that could lift up my lashes and make it curl up.

Pros:

  • The brush was significantly smaller, so I found it way easier to apply it to my inner and outer lash
  • It really do lift up my lashes! (not sure if my skills of curling eye lashes had improved or what)

Cons:

  • It keeps getting smudged, even after it has been dried!
  • It causes my eyelashes to stick between each other, and I hated that... Especially when I accidentally fell asleep in the car or train or something, and I so happened to rest on my face.... Its a disaster....

Grow-luscious by Revlon (I got the waterproof one). Just bought it early this year... Apparently it says that this will help grow your eye lashes, so I decided to give it a try...

Pros:

  • Seriously? Not one that I can think of... I didnt stick around to see whether or not my eye lashes did grow as according to their research... Just not for me...
Cons:
  • The brush is definitely too bulky for me, and I really didn't like that
  • This particular mascara keeps flaking and the bits of mascara flakes will land onto my cheeks or worse, into my eyes! Imagine the irritation I have to put up with....
  • Before I can finish the mascara application, I feel as though my mascara on the wand has dried up... A dried up mascara when brand new? Either I've been conned, or this sucks.. big time...
  • The application is not smooth, and its definitely a difficult and painful process for me to just apply it on my eyes.
  • When I do successfully apply it, the after effect is as though I haven't had any mascara on. Some people might like it cause it gives the natural look, but not me.... Especially not the flaking part...

Renewal lash serum by l'oreal. Yes, its not mascarra, but hey, its for the eye lash too! I just got frenzy about the idea of growing eyelashes so I've decided to invest on it.

Pros:
  • After using it for about 2 weeks, I can actually see that my bottom lashes have grown! I used to have minimal and sparse bottom lashes, but now with this, I can actually apply mascara to my bottom lash!
  • I think my upper lashes had grown, but not much... or maybe its just me...
  • I think my eye lashes do no drop off as often as they usually do.
Cons:
  • It can be a little bit sticky
  • It leaves this white residue if you apply too much, or if you accidentally rubbed your eyes after the serum coating has dried.
  • It stings my eyes when I apply it, but just for a little while... No pain, no gain right?

Double extension mascara (waterproof) by l'oreal. I just cant stand the mascara I bought from revlon, and really, i had to get a new one... Just bought it yesterday, and tried it out just once so far...

Pros:
  • When it says extension, I can really feel that my eye lashes were instantly longer after applying this mascara! Too bad it just didnt stay that way after I washed it off.
  • My eye lashes was longer, and neatly separated. Perfect for working or using it during the day as it does not give u the dramatic thick lashes.
  • Really easy to apply as it slides really easily, coating all of my eyelashes.
  • Just one coating is enough to do the job for me of lengthening
Cons:

  • A little bit troublesome cause its a 2-step process. But hey, its really easy to apply so I dont mind.
  • A tiny bit expensive for someone who's not working or for students (personal opinion)
  • DIFFICULT to remove even with my make up remover! So yes, I must say I spend a lot more time removing this mascara compared to other products...

So there you go... the few products that i've been using and what i think about it. There's a lot of mascaras out there in the market, and hey... if one doesn't suits you, just get another one... Trust me, its definitely worth it...

Till then, signing off!!
